Welcome to The Toronto Focal Forum
The Toronto Focal Forum, formed in 1939, is a diverse group of photographic print makers from around the Greater Toronto area.
We are a small group of print makers that demonstrate a firm commitment to photography as an art form, and the print in particular. |

The goal of the TFF is the pursuit of excellence in our craft - the craft of print-making. Since its inception, methods of producing prints have changed, but the central importance of the print has remained. The photographs include abstracts, portraits, landscapes, nature, photojournalism, action, pinhole and others. The range is infinite, but the one constant is that all aspects of the print, from image capture, to printing or manipulation, mounting and presentation, are the work of the maker.
New membersThe Toronto Focal Forum is always pleased to welcome photographers/printmakers interested in membership. Although our membership is restricted to approximately 35 members, we welcome guests by invitation and new members by application.

We meet bi-weekly on Wednesdays for dinner meetings which provide a social and photographic experience. Following lively dinner conversations, a moderator leads a discussion of the prints presented by the members. An important membership requirement is an ability and willingness to comment openly, consistently, and constructively. In this way, frank and provocative discussions make worthwhile contributions to our growth and expand our appreciation of the art of photography.
