Iceland is volcanically active on a large scale. This has created a landscape which is very distinct in its almost primeval character, a landscape of rugged beauty. Colours are strange and some of the landforms are bizarre. Large snowfields and glaciers are the source of numerous spectacular waterfalls.

Iceland is, without a doubt, the most fascinating place I have ever visited.
